The Dittos of Dawlish are cheerful, hard-working creatures who take great pride in their seaside home of Dawlish, caring for local wildlife like swans and ducks. In 2021, after a long stay in intensive care and a difficult recovery during lockdown, David began carving a tiny house for a Ditto—then another, and another. By the end of lockdown, nearly 30 miniature homes had appeared.
The people of Dawlish love them, and soon Ditto Houses became a town-wide attraction. David has even published books telling the Dittos’ stories. Over time, the tiny village grew to include a library, bakery, butcher, and chemist—but no funeral director… until now.
J H Way Funeral Services now has a Dittos End Funerals in the window with passers-by enjoying it.
You can find all the Ditto Houses including Dittos End Funerals using a Ditto map —it’s become a popular town trail. And the newest addition, “Dittos End Funerals,” is already drawing plenty of curious visitors.
