Community Activities
This is an annual event for Dawlish Carnival Week. Most of the shops in Dawlish decorate their windows to the theme of Carnival Week, this year the theme was Children’s Television Programmes.
The windows are judged, with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Highly Commended certificates given. Also, the shops hide an item they would not usually sell, then the people of Dawlish (and holidaymakers) go round to each shop and find what the misplaced article is with a monetary prize for the winner pulled out of the hat.
Both these competitions are hugely popular in Dawlish during Carnival Week with around 60+ shops and businesses taking part.
